Afghan Youth Action
Learn to lead, design, organize and engage with peers, partners to build lasting relationship and take meaningful action.

Youth leadership means more than holding a title — it's about taking initiative, listening to others, and shaping solutions for your community. AYA believes every young person has the potential to lead, whether through teamwork, creativity, or advocacy.
Through the Youth in Leadership initiative, young Afghans learn to organize, communicate, and act on issues that matter most — from education and inclusion to climate action and digital innovation.
When youth lead, communities thrive — and Afghanistan moves forward.

The AYA Mentorship Programme links young Afghans across the country with mentors — experienced professionals, educators, and community leaders — who guide, inspire, and support them to grow personally and professionally.
Whether you are just beginning your leadership journey or ready to share your experience with others, AYA's mentorship community is where growth happens together.

To nurture Afghan youth's sense of belonging, purpose, and positive contribution — empowering them to connect with their communities through creativity, teamwork, and service.
Youth engagement is about connection — with each other, with ideas, and with the community. Through AYA, young people across Afghanistan learn how to participate safely and meaningfully in activities that build trust, cooperation, and hope.
From volunteering and local learning circles to creative storytelling and small community projects, AYA helps youth share their voice, strengthen social bonds, and make a positive impact where they live.
Every small act of collaboration — teaching a skill, helping a neighbor, protecting the environment — strengthens the roots of peace and resilience.

AYA Community Circles create small, safe spaces where Afghan youth can meet — online or in their neighborhoods — to exchange knowledge, practice new skills, and support one another.
Whether it's improving language skills together, sharing digital skills, exploring art, or starting a small reading club, these circles help youth stay connected, confident, and curious. Community Circles are designed for everyone — young women and men, students, and volunteers — who want to keep learning and growing even in challenging times.

AYA encourages young people across Afghanistan to give back to their communities through safe, local volunteering and creative service.
Whether it's cleaning up a shared space, planting trees, teaching children to read, or helping elders with daily tasks — these simple actions build stronger, kinder, and more connected communities.
Volunteerism isn't about big events; it's about everyday compassion — lending a hand, sharing time, and spreading hope.
Through AYA, youth also express their community spirit through art, photography, poetry, and storytelling — creative ways to celebrate what it means to care, protect, and rebuild together.

Join AYA's Youth in Leadership initiative and become part of a generation shaping Afghanistan's future.
